Sales Lead Grading

In Inbound Marketing Automation systems, a prospect’s “Grade” reflects how closely they match your ideal prospect profile, and can range from a grade of “F” (extremely poor match) to “A+” (exact match with ideal prospect profile). Profile information includes:

  • Job title
  • Geographic Location
  • Type of Industry
  • Size of company

Profile information for grading is usually obtained as the prospect completes form fields required for downloading valuable content.

A prospects Grade is an indication of how interested the seller is in the prospect. In contrast, a prospects “Score” gives an indication of how interested the prospect is in the seller’s website and the seller’s solution. In combination, Score and Grade provide an excellent insight into the sales potential of the prospect.
