Marketing deals with identifying market needs, and creating and delivering value to customers in a profitable way.
Marketing involves 4 key entities:
- The Marketer
- The Product or Service
- The Market - the group of people or organizations with a known (or guessed at) need, which it is hoped the Product or Service will meet
- The Competition – which includes both direct competitors and indirect competitors (substitutors)
