Cost Per Acquisition (CPA)

Cost Per Acquisition is a commission paid by one organization to another, for a predetermined Conversion goal. The referring site is often called an Affiliate, and the CPA is paid when the Affiiliate sends the referenced site a visitor via a link. In other words, when a person clicks an ad on the Affiliate’s site, is directed to site “x” and initiates a transaction which achieves the desired conversion goal, site “x” pays the Affiliate the agreed upon CPA.
