Cost-Per-Click
CPC is the cost charged to the advertiser each time a visitor clicks on a PPC ad. The costs are calculated according to the popularity of the keywords in question, the more popular keywords being auctioned off to the highest bidder. In addtion, the length of the commitement to run the ad is a factor, with longer times being rewarded with lower costs. The cost of the campaign can be limited by stipulating a maximum spend for the time period in question. When this point is reached. the ad is not displayed again until the next period commences.
