We’re looking for another superhero (intermediate web developer) to join the amazing Gossamar team.

Role

You must be passionate about technology, exude curiosity and code at blinding speeds. You enjoy challenge and seek to grow into more senior roles over time. We are looking for a relative junior at this time who will work under the leadership of an experienced project manager, but you must know PHP, HTML, CSS and SQL, all within the WordPress environment. In other words, you must be experienced in the skillset needed to develop within the LAMP environment.

While a knowledge of graphic design and the skills to use the tools needed to design the artwork and layouts for webpages is nice to have, it is not essential. If you do possess this talent and the needed skillset, please indicate which tools you use and include in your application some links to your portfolio of work.

Responsibilities

Working from functional specifications, design the new features we require for our website, and then code, test and publish them. Working from a design brief, renovate our client’s existing websites or code, test and publish new ones. You will also learn the technical aspects of the various online marketing and sales tools we use as part of our service, and then offer technical support to our internal users and clients.

Education

A college diploma is a minimum requirement.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years experience developing web applications.

Skills

Experience with WordPress is mandatory, along with a knowledge of Javascript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and PHP. Good spoken and written English communication skills are essential. A working knowledge of graphic design programs is an asset but not essential (please your specify your skill set in your applications).

Assets

A knowledge of SEO and skill with Java, .NET and MOSS are nice-to-haves.
